Google Voice

Calls and messages under one number

Google Voice gives you a separate phone number for calling, texting and voicemail. It suits people who want to keep personal and work conversations apart, or who regularly move between a phone, tablet and computer. Calls can reach more than one connected device, so your number is not tied to a single handset.

Useful communication tools

The app brings calls, text messages and voicemails into one place. Its voicemail transcription turns spoken messages into readable text, which is useful when you cannot listen to audio immediately. Google Voice also includes spam call screening to help identify unwanted or suspicious callers.

• One number across devices: Use the same Google Voice number on supported mobile and desktop platforms.
• Text and voicemail history: Keep conversations and received messages available through the service.
• Voicemail transcription: Review the main points of a message as text.
• International calling: Place calls abroad using the rates and availability offered by Google Voice.

Who it suits

Google Voice is a practical choice for users who need a flexible number for remote work, a small business, travel planning or everyday communication. It is also useful for anyone who prefers checking messages and voicemail from a computer instead of relying only on a mobile phone. Feature availability may depend on the account and location.
