Google TV

What Google TV does

Google TV brings movies and TV episodes from supported streaming services into one browsing experience. It suits viewers who use several entertainment apps and want one place to search, compare, save and revisit titles instead of checking each service separately. The app is listed in Video Players & Editors and is developed by Google LLC.

Useful ways to browse and watch

• Search across connected streaming services to see where a title is available.
• Save films and episodes to a watchlist and keep track of viewing ideas across compatible devices.
• Use the app as a remote for supported Android TV devices, including a keyboard for entering searches and passwords.
• Browse, rent or buy selected titles through the available store and access eligible purchases from the library.

Who it suits

Google TV is a practical choice for households with multiple subscriptions, Android TV hardware or a large collection of digital purchases. Its main strength is discovery: recommendations, categories and cross-service results can reduce the time spent deciding what to watch. Availability varies by country, provider and device, so some sections or services may not appear for every user. Google TV helps locate content, but it does not replace the separate streaming apps required to play many titles.
