Wing - Drone delivery

Local shopping by drone

Wing - Drone delivery connects shoppers with participating local stores and sends eligible orders by autonomous electric aircraft. It is suited to people who need smaller items from nearby retailers, such as food, household essentials, or pharmacy products, without waiting for a conventional road courier. The app is most useful when the service operates in your area and the order fits its delivery limits.

How the app works

Users browse available products, choose items from local partners, and provide a suitable delivery location. Wing uses location information to confirm whether an address is inside an active delivery zone. Order status and the drone’s progress can be followed in the app, while delivery is made to a designated safe point rather than through a standard doorstep handoff.

Availability and audience

This is not a general marketplace for every location. Drone delivery depends on local coverage, participating businesses, weather, aircraft availability, and the type of goods being ordered. The service has operated in selected areas of Australia, Finland, Ireland, and the United States, so the app is mainly relevant to users in supported communities. It is a practical option for quick, lightweight purchases rather than large weekly shopping trips.
