Google Slides

Presentation editing on Android

Google Slides is a mobile presentation editor for creating, revising and presenting slide decks from an Android phone or tablet. It suits students, teams and professionals who need to work on presentations away from a desktop, especially when several people are contributing to the same file. The app is developed by Google LLC and belongs to the Productivity category.

Tools for shared work

Slides supports simultaneous editing, comments and shared access, making it easier to collect feedback without passing separate copies between contributors. Changes can sync across devices through the Google Workspace ecosystem, so a presentation can move from a larger screen to a mobile device without losing the latest work. Users can also open, edit and save Microsoft PowerPoint files when working with mixed file formats.

• Create and adjust presentation slides from an Android device.
• Work with other people through shared editing and comments.
• Continue making changes when an internet connection is unavailable, then sync later.
• Present slides directly to scheduled Google Meet calls.
• Use layout suggestions to speed up common formatting tasks.

What the mobile version is best for

The touch-focused interface is practical for making quick edits, rearranging slides and checking a deck before presenting. It is also useful for reviewing comments or making last-minute changes while travelling. Users who depend on advanced desktop formatting, complex animations or highly detailed layout control may find the mobile toolset narrower than the web version.

Store profile

Google Slides has a 4.04/5 rating from more than 640,000 reviews and records 1,000,000,000+ installs. Its Android package is com.google.android.apps.docs.editors.slides. Those figures place it among the more widely used presentation tools for Android, with a clear focus on collaborative editing and compatibility across devices.
